For over 130 years the Valley Fire Department has served the citizens of Valley and western Douglas County. Consisting of 45 members, we serve a population of about 4000 people, covering approximately 45 square miles. The department is 100% volunteer, and responds to approximately 600 calls to service per year. We provide fire protection, technical rescue, and Advanced Life Support emergency medical services.
